for 1898, 27in. sleeved steel to damascus nitro barrels (in 2018), retaining original rib engraved 'WATSON BROS. 29. OLD BOND STREET. LONDON.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/4 choke, treble-grip action with carved stylised leaf fences, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, fine acanthus scroll engraving with ornate bordering and central floral bouquets, the underside with the makers details in curved banners, retaining much renewed colour-hardening and finish, 16 1/4in. well-figured replacement semi-pistolgrip stock (cast on for the left shoulder) including 5/8in. rubber recoil pad, matching fore-end wood, weight 5lb., in a lightweight leather case with some accessories and Watson Bros. trade label
